On the left, drivers participate in a track day event. On the right, Formula One racers drive the same track.

Here’s an overlay video to see the comparison more clearly. Impressive.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger provides the DVD commentary track for Total Recall. The usual purpose of DVD commentary is to provide some background to a scene or a cute story about something that happened on set while filming. Arnold’s style is much more straightforward.

    Absolutely impressive and stomach-churning.

    Pure, simple speed.

A time-lapse video of a planned dam breach:

On October 26th, a hole was blasted in the base of 125′ tall Condit Dam on the White Salmon River in Washington. In less than 2 hours, the reservoir behind the dam drained completely and the White Salmon flowed unimpeded by a dam for the first time in 100 years.

It’s a well done littte mini-documentary, but as a person who enjoys photographing ghost towns and places left to die, the video inspires me to squeeze out more emotion from the content I come back with. Now I only need to get my hands on the 5D Mark II for video…

What more can you say; the man loves his rainbows. Careful watching this at work, the audio may be confused for porn where “double rainbow” is some kind of twisted euphemism.

Awesome dog puts all other dogs to shame.
